I hope you have all had a great year. Nina and I are doing well but once again I'm here to remind you that not everybody has had a good year. I hear we are in for another long, cold winter.
Warm Wishes has done more preparation than ever before and we will be distributing on Saturday, December 5, 1998. This year we are buying direct from the manufacturers and we will be helping 2,000 homeless people feel a little less of their winter discomforts.
If you are able to support someone less fortunate this holiday season, please try to send a contribution by November 30th. $5.00 will buy NEW gloves, socks and a cap for each homeless person.
If times are financially tough and you can't send a contribution, maybe you can actively participate or just say a prayer for the less fortunate.
Sombody recently told me that of all the nonprofit groups, helping the homeless was the toughest and failed more frequently because nobody cares and there is no money to be made. With your help, we will just have to prove them wrong.
Please feel free to copy this letter and send it with your own cover letter to friends, relatives, clients, fellow workers or put it up on your bulletin board at work. If it's a great holiday gesture that makes everybody who gets involved feel good and it also brings people together for a good cause.
Warm Wishes,
Bill Hamm
