This was by far our biggest and most successful year yet. We were on TV shows and in many newspapers.
We exceeded our goals and have funds to continue the growing process throughout the year.
Warm Wishes’ "Volunteer of the Year ‘98" award went to Nina Barbalacci (my wife). Along with lots of hands-on participation as my assistant, she also organized, together with the 1st Presbyterian Church of San Rafael, to do the packaging of our gifts to be handed out with nice bows. It was a nice community effort.
Another Holiday Season gone by but far from forgotten. We created lots of Warm Hearts and Warm Bodies along with many good feelings. As I drive through San Francisco, it is common for me to see homeless people wearing our gifts. It’s a nice feeling especially with this year of LA NINA
The time I spent was a little overwhelming, but once again without the constant barrage of volunteers, especially the hands-on distribution helpers, we could not have done it. The amount of professional volunteers has also grown so large that I cannot possibly mention all of you, but you know who you are.
Our website will begin to carry pictures, testimonials and updates. If you want to give a testimonial please email me or send me a letter. The enclosed makes a great refrigerator or bulletin board picture.
