I hope all of you have had a great year. For many of us, it is a time to give thanks as we begin our Holiday Season. The weatherman says we are in for a long and cold winter, and once again I am here to remind you that not everyone has had a good year. Unfortunately, there are those that suffer greatly around us both physically and mentally--the homeless.
This year we are filling oversized fanny-packs with wool socks, a knit cap, rain poncho, and ski gloves. Everything is new! Warm Wishes will help thousands of homeless people this season. In addition to helping them stay warm on the outside, we hope to give them a warm feeling of the "Holiday Spirit" on the inside.
Our target areas have been primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area and its outlying areas; however, we are happy to announce a new chapter opening in New York City. I would like to welcome Robert Katz, his wife Mary, and Sharon Byrne, the brother and sister of my late wife, Helaine, for whom I am dedicating Warm Wishes' five-year anniversary.
Please feel free to copy and send this letter or email it along to friends, relatives, clients, fellow workers, boss, holiday mailing list, or just put it up on your bulletin board at work. Warm Wishes is a heart warming holiday project that makes everybody who gets involved feel good, and it also brings people together for a worthy cause.
Can you help us spread the word?
We need help in the media for San Francisco and beyond--
Television, Radio, Newspaper, Celebrity Spokespersons, etc...
If you are able to support someone less fortunate this holiday season, we could really use some immediate contributions. If not, send your contribution by December 9, 1999. If times are so financially tough for you that you can't send a contribution, then maybe you can actively participate with us. And finally, please say a prayer for the less fortunate.
