Warm Wishes New York Chapter

Hello everyone,

We are writing to you all to fill you in on what Warm Wishes New York 2003 has in store for us this year.

First of all, we will be doing another fundraiser this year. We are doing a raffle to help us raise money for the fanny packs. 1st prize is a 50/50, 2nd prize is a DVD player, 3rd prize is a 13" color TV, and 4th prize is an autographed football by Michael Strahan and others of the NY Giants. Anyone interested in helping to organize and/or sell raffle tickets please contact us either via email at WarmWishesNY@aol.com or Rob cell 973-703-9589 or Sharon cell 914-582-1519. This year our distribution will be 350 fanny packs for the NY chapter.

Next, returning again this year after the tremendous success we had last year will be the Warm Wishes Art Project. Last year Holiday cards from the New York area not only warmed the hearts of homeless people in the New York area, but reached homeless hearts as far as California. If anyone has a connection with schools or teachers please contact me. Instructions on how to do this can be found on the web site or we will help guide you. This is a project that can help to brighten someone's day. We would like elementary aged school children to make 350 or more Holiday cards to place inside the fanny packs. It is one thing to offer the homeless something to warm their bodies, but something to warm their hearts would be priceless.

Assembly Day will be Saturday, November 29th, 2003 Last year's assembly took less than one hour.

Distribution Day will be Sunday, December 7th.
